Bilingual Day Care & Art "Fairy Tale" (referred to as "Fairy Tale" hereinafter) believes that personal and private information is an important asset of each individual and that the appropriate handling and protection of personal and private information is an important social responsibility, and therefore, Fairy Tale is committed to acknowledging and respecting personal and private information (which can identify the specific individual) of all students, parents/families, staff and related parties. 


Legal Compliance 

According to the Article 3 of The Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003), which states "In view of the fact that personal information should be handled cautiously under the philosophy of respecting the personalities of individuals, proper handling of personal information shall be promoted," Fairy Tale appropriately administer the handling of personal information and comply with the above and related laws.  



Collection of Personal Information 

Fairy Tale collects and handles personal information in a fair and lawful manner. When Fairy Tale asks parents/families to provide personal information, the purpose of information collection shall be clearly explained and the use of collected information shall be limited to the extent of the purposes specified in advan 



Use of Personal Information 

Fairy Tale handles the information of students, parents/families, staff and related parties in compliance with the "Child Welfare Act" and "Nursery School Childcare Guidelines" set by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, which regulates the use of personal information to be only for the operation of the business. Operation of the facility also includes data analysis as well as disclosure of anonymous data that cannot be traced to any individual. 

Fairy Tale has a website that is open to the public to provide information on our services. The website does not share any personal information of the students, including their names and birthdates. It may contain photos of our students in the day care only after Fairy Tale has obtained the consent of parents/families or related parties. The photos will be removed from our website immediately upon request. 



Restriction on the Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties 

Fairy Tale does not disclose the personal information of our students to any third party without the consent of the parents/families. This applies not only to the disclosure of video/audio to third parties but also to the provision of information to authorized institutions for operational purposes. However, there may be exception for legal obligations or other legitimate causes in accordance with Article 23 of The Protection of Personal Information and other related regulations (refer to the following). 



Cases in which the provision of personal data is based on laws and regulations 

Cases in which the provision of personal data is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person 

Cases in which the provision of personal data is specially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person 

Cases in which the provision of personal data is necessary for cooperating with a state organ, a local government, or an individual or a business operator entrusted by one in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and in which obtaining the consent of the person is likely to impede the execution of the affairs.  



Disclosure, Correction, Suspension or Deletion of Personal Information  

Fairy Tale is fully aware that the parents have the right to request the disclosure, correction, suspension or deletion of the personal information of their own child/family. Fairy Tale will act promptly in compliance with the related laws and regulations in case the request is made. The right to the personal information of students is only possessed by the parents themselves or representative/attorneys authorized by the parents. The request may be rejected if there is the potential for significant business interruption.  



Management of Personal Information 

Fairy Tale takes the maximum necessary precautions to protect personal information from illegal access, falsification or leakage. In order to abide by the Privacy Policy of Bilingual Day Care & Art "Fairy Tale" and The Personal Information Protection Law and related regulations, all of our staff are reminded of the importance of tight security and appropriate handling of personal information through training and meetings. 

The maintenance of confidentiality of the information by the corporate director, employees or any related parties is mandated even after leaving the job. Moreover, outsourced services must abide by the contract concerning the safe management of personal information. Fairy Tale shall not bear any responsibility for any mishandling of personal information attributed to the delinquency of out sourced services. 


Continuous Improvement of the Privacy Protection System 
Fairy Tale will revise its policies to reflect the changing laws and regulations of Japan regarding personal information protection.
